Coronavirus is extremely contagious and is deadly to some people. Unfortunately, there is no real cure for coronavirus and there is no drug for coronavirus. However, integrative treatment using conventional medicine together with Chinese herbs was successful in China to relieve patient symptoms and enable the body to successfully fight Coronavirus. According to a report, 92.58% of coronavirus patients took Chinese herbal supplements as part of the integrative treatment protocol in China by March 3, 2020.
Herbal remedies are not medicines or drugs in the US and they are supplements. They do not kill or suppress the virus, so they are not the cure for the virus infection. However, they provide support to your body and relieve the symptoms so to support the immune system to successfully fight the virus.
Notes: you may shop all the herb remedies mentioned below online here for your convenience as you should avoid going to local herb stores due to potential source of infection and it is very difficult for you to find other online sources to buy them. Some of the items are often sold out even on our site due to high demand and limited supplies on the market.
Prevention
You probably have read a lot of recommendations to prevent yourself from coronavirus infection including personal hygiene, staying away from potential contagious sources such as public gatherings and personal contacts etc.
From Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) perspective, coronavirus infection is an external contracted disease and there are herbal formulas specifically developed to fortify the attack surface and enhance the immune system. No 1 in this category is a formula called "Yu Ping Feng San". There are many research articles on this formula demonstrating its effectiveness to regulate immune functions. You can check out one published on NIH site here.
Formula #1: Yu Ping Feng San (Siler & Astragalus Formula, Jade Windscreen Powder)
Ingredients: Huang Qi (Astragali Radix) , Bai Zhu (Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma) , Fang Feng ( Saposhnikoviae Radix)
The other great choice is Gui Zhi Tang ( Cinnamon Twig Decoction) which can also be used to relieve symptoms if infected. This remedy improves blood circulation, slightly warms up the body, fortifies attack surface, and enhance immune functions. However, the use of Gui Zhi Tang ( Cinnamon Twig Decoction) for infection should follow TCM practitioner advice.
Formula #2: Gui Zhi Tang ( Cinnamon Twig Decoction)
Ingredients: Gui Zhi (Ramulus Cinnamomi), Bai Shao (Radix Paeoniae alba) , Sheng Jiang (Rhizoma Zingiberis recens), Da Zao (Fructus Jujubae), Gan Cao (Chinese licorice root)
These two remedies can be taken alone or taken together. Take them for a week should be good.
Both Yu Ping Feng San (Siler & Astragalus Formula, Jade Windscreen Powder) and Gui Zhi Tang ( Cinnamon Twig Decoction) are available as supplement in capsules, pills or granular format, but you can also buy the raw herb ingredients and boil water to drink.
Symptom Relief
As explained earlier, herbal remedies do not kill the virus itself, so it is not a cure. Also, using herbal remedies to support your body does not negate the need for conventional medicine (modern medicine) treatment, so herbal supplements can be part of the integrative treatment protocol for the best result.
However, per data from Wuhan, herbal remedies were successful in relieving coronavirus patient symptoms to enable the immune system to do its job and to eventually win the battle against the virus. Symptoms caused by coronovirus that can be relieved by herbal remedies include, but not limited to, fever, unproductive cough (cough without phlegm), dry mouth and thirst, shortness of breath, chest congestion, bitter taste, chill, body soreness and pain, sore throat, diarrhea, and nausea or vomiting.
There are multiple different formulas being used in coronavirus patients in China. However, they need to be tailored and customized based on individual situation for the best result. Based on my experience, below is the summary of remedies for symptom relief at different stages.
However, this is just a guideline and please consult us or your TCM practitioner before you incorporate them into your protocol. In addition, it will be more effective to modify the formulas per individual situation. Many of the decoction formulas listed in this section are available as pre-made herbal extract supplements.

Qing Fei Pai Du Tang (Lung Clearing and Detoxing Decoction)
If you like to order it, please contact us.
China National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine (NATCM) recommended a combination of herbs similar to what I recommended above with similar thought process. As a matter of fact, I published a Coronavirus case study on 2-2-2020 detailing my use of herbs with excellent results, two to three weeks before NATCM published their recommendation of this formula. I published herb ingredient details used in that case hoping others take it or learn from it to help more patients, and was surprisingly happy to see NATCM adopted it, modified it and used it for thousands of people in China.
However, I do not recommend patients to use Qing Fei Pai Du Tang (Lung Clearing and Detoxing Decoction) as is for a few reasons:

However, I do not recommend patients to use Qing Fei Pai Du Tang (Lung Clearing and Detoxing Decoction) as is for a few reasons:
- Some herbs such as Xi Xin (Chinese wild ginger root) contains Aristolochic Acid that is known to potentially cause liver and kidney damages.
- This formula is good for moderate conditions but not for early onset or mild conditions.
- There is no pre-made supplement of this, so you have to buy raw herbs and boil them yourself. if you are hospitalized, you can not take this with you.
- This formula contains too many herbs without focus as it tries to be a one-size-fits-all solution. Loss of focus will reduce its effectiveness comparing to more individually customized solution.
Nevertheless, if you like to order it, please contact us.
